Harrisburg’s City Island is the venue 38 years ago today for the 1988 Class AA Eastern League All-Star Game.
Prospects from the National League end up beating their counterparts from the American League 6-0 before a Monday night crowd of 2,878 at RiverSide Stadium.
Among those representing the hometown Harrisburg Senators are infielders Jeff King and Dimas Gutierrez, outfielder Jeff Cook, and pitchers Larry Melton and Paul Wilmet.
Also playing in the game is a skinny shortstop from Vermont and Hall of Fame candidate Omar Vizquel.
