A sparse and chilled crowd of only 601watches as the Harrisburg Senators beat Erie 12-5 in a Class AA Eastern League game 18 years ago today on City Island, where temperatures struggle to reach the low-40s.

The crowd, or lack thereof, remains the smallest to see a game on the island since pro baseball returns to Harrisburg in 1987.
