Matt Skole in his major league debut eight years ago today

After struggling for much of his eight seasons in the minors – including all or parts of three summers with the Class AA Harrisburg Senators – first baseman Matt Skole finally makes his major league eight years ago today with the Chicago White Sox. ‍

The first baseman has quite the debut, too, with a solo homer, single and walk in four plate appearances during the White Sox’s 9-6 loss at Cleveland.

Skole spends parts of the 2018 and ’19 seasons with the White Sox, totaling 18 hits in 83 at-bats before retiring at the age of 30.
