Onetime Harrisburg catcher George “Doggie” Miller, Class of 1883 and then playing with the St. Louis Cardinals, sandwiches a home run between ones by Frank Shugart and Heinie Peitz in the seventh inning against Cincinnati 132 years ago today — marking the first time three teammates hit consecutive homers in the majors. ‍

The Reds still win the game 18-9.
