In one of the stranger places to receive such news, Harrisburg Senators manager Pat Kelly interrupts batting practice 31 years ago today in Reading to tell Kevin Northrup – in the middle of his round of hitting – that the parent Montreal Expos have traded him from their Class AA team to the Oakland Athletics for pitcher Dave Leiper.
