Twenty-nine years ago today, Harrisburg Senators corner infielder Israel Alcantara begins a streak of hitting a home run in six straight games – a Class AA Eastern League record that falls one game shy of the minors’ all-time record.

Alcantara finishes with 1997 season with a modern-franchise record for homers with 27, a mark that lasts for only two seasons before Andy Tracy hits 37 in 1999.
