‍The Harrisburg Senators sweep the Eastern League’s season-ending awards 33 years ago today as the Class AA league names first baseman-left fielder Cliff Floyd as its most valuable player, Joey Eischen its top pitcher and Jim Tracy the manager of the year. ‍

All they do, respectively, in 1993 is hit .329 with 27 homers and 101 RBIs in 101 games; win 14 of 18 decisions in only 20 starts; and, in Tracy’s case, guide the Senators to 100 victories between the regular season and playoffs.‍

Floyd and Eischen are two of the Senators’ eight players that season who go on to play at least 10 seasons in the majors, while Tracy manages in the majors for 11 seasons.
