Happy birthday to former Harrisburg Senators pitcher Shairon Martis, who turns 39 today. Martis is only 19 years old when he makes his Class AA debut with Harrisburg toward the end of the 2006 season.

Martis spends parts of three seasons in the major leagues with the Washington Nationals and Minnesota Twins.

He still is pitching, representing the Netherlands earlier this month at the World Baseball Classic after finishing the 2025 season with a 12-2 record and a 1.55 earned-run average in 14 starts for Curacao Neptunus.
