The Bonds market

Barry Bonds launches career homer No. 756 off Washington’s Mike Bacsik 18 years ago tonight in San Francisco.
The homer moves Bonds ahead of Hank Aaron atop the all-time home run list.
Bonds doubles and singles off Bacsik before homering off the Nationals’ left-hander in the fifth inning of a Tuesday night game in San Francisco, where a crowd of 43,154 turns out to see the Nationals beat the Giants 8-6.
Of course, to the crowd, the final score is secondary to Bonds’ historic moment.
Bonds previously is 0-for-2 lifetime against Bacsik.
As it turns out, Bacsik’s father faces Aaron in just one game during his own career – three days after Aaron’s 755th and final homer in 1976 – and holds Aaron to one single in two at-bats against him.
