The rise and fall of Ugueth Urbina
In happier times for him, onetime Harrisburg Senators phenom Ugueth Urbina records his 100th career save in the major leagues 26 years ago today by navigating through the final two innings of the Montreal Expos' 5-3 victory at Florida.
Urbina, twice an All-Star in the majors, finishes his 11-year career in 2005 with 237 saves.
Life after baseball is not nearly as successful.
In March 2007, Urbina is convicted of attempted murder in his native Venezuela and sentenced to 14 years in prison.
