Reggie Jackson, then of the Kansas City Athletics, hits the first home run of his Hall of Fame career 58 years ago today off California left-hander Jim Weaver during a 3-2 loss to the Angels before a Sunday afternoon crowd of 10,993 in Anaheim.

Jackson finishes his career with 563 homers with only one each coming off Weaver and Black.
