Pitcher Denis Boucher and catcher Joe Siddall – a pair of onetime Harrisburg Senators in the minor leagues – give the Montreal Expos the second all-Canadian battery in major league history 32 years ago today.

The moment comes during a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies before a Monday afternoon crowd of 40,066 at Olympic Stadium.

The first such pairing comes 110 years earlier in 1883 with Tip O’Neill and John Humphries for the National League’s New York Gothams.

For their efforts together on this day in 1993, Boucher allows just one run over six innings, while Siddall goes 1-for-3 with an RBI double in the seventh inning that ties the score at 3.
