From worst to first

The Harrisburg Senators win 6-1 at Portland 30 years ago today to cap their worst-to-first finish from 1995 to 1996 and clinch the first of their Class AA Eastern League-record four straight championships.

Every Senator makes the midnight bus ride home from Maine to Harrisburg, except for one – Senators right fielder and league MVP Vladimir Guerrero, who stays behind in Portland to catch an early morning flight to join the Montreal Expos and start his Hall of Fame career in the majors.
