Onetime Harrisburg Senators center fielder Rondell White enjoys a most productive afternoon 32 years ago today as he goes 4-for-5 and drives in all seven runs for the Expos in a 7-4 victory over Dodgers in Montreal.
Of course, that is when baseball has a team in Montreal, where for a while White becomes the face of an ever-molting franchise.
Of course, the Expos being the Expos – and that would be, well, cheap – eventually trade White to the Chicago Cubs midway through the 2000 season for journeyman pitcher Scott Downs.
