Remembering Skip Hutter

Skip Hutter, the Patriot-News’ first beat writer for the Harrisburg Senators, passes away five years ago today. He was 88.

Hutter expertly covers the Senators for six seasons before retiring after the 1992 season. He also pens the popular “Sports Seen” column for The Patriot-News.

He remains a fixture on City Island for a few more seasons as the Eastern League’s official scorer for Harrisburg’s home games.
