When 10 is not a perfect score

Mark Grudzielanek launches one of Harrisburg’s four homers 32 years ago today as the Senators scorch Bowie’s pitching staff for 10 runs.

One slight problem: The Baysox’s offense responds by incinerating Harrisburg’s staff, scoring 14 runs alone in the fourth inning en route in beating the Senators 28-10 in a Class AA Eastern League game at the University of Maryland's undersized Shipley Field.

Bowie scores 27 of its 28 runs in the first four innings.

The Senators’ most effective pitcher on this day is player-coach Lance Rice, who allows only one run in three innings of relief.
